Do I need a Schengen Visa?
Almost all nationalities outside of Europe except Australia, Canada, Japan New Zealand, and South Korea require a Schengen Visa to visit France.

If you are from one of the following countries the processing will take at least 2 working weeks.

Korea, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Travel Document holders (1951 Convention), Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Surinam, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zimbabwe (for France only).

What do I need to apply for a Schengen Visa?

This varies depending on which visa you are looking for but for the general France travel visa the following original documents need to be submitted:

  • Application form completed and signed by the applicant in person;
  • 2 recent passport-sized photographs. The photographs must be passport-size (3,5 x 4,5cm), in colour, taken against a white background with good contrast, clear, good quality, printed on normal photographic paper, unmounted and full face without sunglasses or head covering. (Glasses should not appear in the photo for the visa unless glasses appear in the passport photo too);
  • Your passport or travel document valid for at least three months after the date of expiry of the visa applied for. The visa sticker will take up a whole page in your passport or travel document so please ensure that your passport has at least one blank visa page;
  • Evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your trip (a recent less than one month old bank statement stating your name and address). Cash is not accepted as proof;
  • Proof of an accommodation booking to show where you are staying in France;
  • Proof of medical insurance cover. Visa First can provide you with Schengen travel insurance.

I want to visit several countries - what Schengen Visa should I get?
If you intend to visit several of the Schengen countries without having one main destination, you should apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the first Schengen country on your travel itinerary that requires you to have a visa.

How much will it cost?
For Schengen Visa processing (including all embassy fees) we charge £150.
If the applicant is spouse of EU national, the Schengen Visa (including all embassy fees) cost £100.

How long does it take to organise?
Schengen Visa processing usually takes just 48 hours, depending on how busy the embassy is. It is advisable to apply at least 3 weeks before you plan to travel just to be safe.

How do I know what’s happening with my visa application?
Visa First is the only company with an online visa status engine through which you can check the status of your France Visa application 24/7. Check your visa status here.

Does the Schengen Agreement include new countries that have joined the EU?
France is one of 25 countries in the Schengen Agreement of 1995 which includes Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Schengen Visas are issued from the embassy of the country considered to be your main destination.

What’s the difference between a single-entry visa and multiple-entry visa?
A single entry visa allows you to enter a country once during the validity of the visa. When you leave the country the visa is no longer valid and you would be required to re-apply for another visa if you wish to visit that country again. A multiple-entry visa will allow you to enter/leave the country several times during the validity of the visa. In the case of a Schengen Visa you would be able to use a multiple-entry visa to visit other Schengen countries.

What is the difference between a tourist visa and a business visa?
Tourist visas are generally issued for the purpose of leisure and recreation, while a business visa permits you to engage in normal business-related activities. The visa requirements for tourist and business visas may vary. Many countries that do not require tourist visas for UK passport holders may require a visa for business purposes.

Why do I need at least one full blank visa page (in some cases two) in my passport to get a visa?
Most visas are stamped, or affixed, in your passport on the pages specifically marked for them, and foreign consular officials require that visa stamps be placed on pages that do not contain any other stamps or marks.

I have indefinite leave/permanent residence in the UK – do I still need a Europe Visa?
Having indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom does not affect whether you require a visa or not as visa requirements are based on the passport that you travel on.

Talk to Visa First live online about whether you need a visa for Europe.

What is a visa invitation or confirmation?
Visa invitations/confirmations are documents, often directly approved by the Foreign Ministry of the country to be visited, that authorises you to visit that country. They typically state the dates and cities you are visiting, the name of a hosting organisation, as well as an "official" reference number and seal of approval. This is particularly prevalent for Russia and many Schengen countries. Required formats for invitations and confirmations vary by country.

How long is the Schengen Visa valid for?
Each embassy has its own stance on how long a visa will be issued for. Some are issued for the specific dates that you are travelling (usually single entry), others may be multiple-entry, some are valid from the day you apply while others are valid from the date of expected first entry.

Is the visa guaranteed?
The decision to grant a visa is at the sole discretion of the Embassy/Consulate. We are not responsible for any decision made by the consulate. Please consult our Terms & Conditions for more info.

I got a German visa, but decided now to go to France. Can I make France my main destination country?
No, you need to apply for a French Schengen visa. However, you need to cancel your German visa first.

I have a valid limited leave to remain in the UK, but my passport has expired and I did not transfer my visa to my new passport. Can I still apply for a French Visa?
Yes, you can apply for the visa. You will just need to present both your passports – the new and the old one.

If I apply for a visa and I do not get it. Do I get a refund?
Before we actually apply for your visa a visa specialist will advice you what are the chances of getting your visa approved. If we think that the risk of refusal is too high we will not process it. Once processed, if the visa is refused by the immigration authorities, no refund is possible. If everything is fine with the application it might be even just a couple of days before the visa is issued. If there is any delay because of the immigration authorities, it may take couple of weeks for the visa to be granted.

I hold Malaysian passport, but I have indefinite leave to remain in UK and live in the UK Permanently. My family are all British citizens and hold British Passports. Do I need a visa to visit France and other UE countries on a driving holiday?
As you hold a Malaysian passport you are not required a visa to go to France, as long as your stay does not exceed 3 months (90 days). However you may be asked, either at the borders of entry or within the Schengen space, to produce proofs of financial means of support, hotel bookings or return tickets to your country of residence.

Does it matter how you pay for your trip on the confirmation that you send to get your visa?
It doesn't matter how you pay for your trip as long as you provide the Immigration authorities with the required documents.

I got a French Schengen visa for France for 1 month for business, but the business meeting I was going to attend is cancelled and I am not travelling during the period of my Schengen visa validity. Will this affect any future French Schengen Visa application?
If your French visa is still valid, it will be the best if you cancel it with the French High Commission as in the future you might have problems if you wish to apply for another French visa.

I would like to ask that, I got a Schengen visa with single entry, I will visit France first and can I visit Belgium on my way back to India?
If your visa was granted as a Single entry one, when you're back from your holiday in France it will ne longer be valid. That's why, when travelling to India through Belgium, you will need to obtain a transit visa for Belgium

If I applied for Schengen Visa to France and stayed there for three months and came back to India, what is the time for which I can not reapply?
Basically there is no certain period that you need to wait before you submit another visa application. As long as your visa has already expired, you can apply once again.

I have a valid Italian visa till 2010 and I visited Italy by I have planes to visit France in January. Could you apply for French Schengen visa even If there is 3 months to go to France?
If your Italian visa was granted as a Multi Entry one, then you will be able to use it to travel to France (or to any other Schengen country) within its validity. However if the Italian visa is a Single entry one and you’ve already used it, then you can’t apply for another Schengen visa while the Italian once is still valid. You have 2 options:

  1. wait for the current visa to expire and then apply for a new one
  2. cancel your Italian visa and apply for a French one after that

It’s advisable to contact us as soon as you cancel the Italian visa to book an appointment for the French one as there is limited number of available appointments with the French consulate.

I have Travel Insurance taken in Kuwait through Gulf Bank. Should I take a separate Schengen Travel Insurance?
If the Travel insurance that you have covers you for Europe and is valid for the validity of your trip it should be OK. It also needs to cover medical expenses and repatriation according to the requirements. As long as you can produce a certificate in English, you ill be able to use this travel insurance.

I have limited leave to remain in the UK as a refugee, but this status is stamped on my national passport as I have not applied for the Geneva Convention travel document. My question is will I be required a visa to travel to Schengen are including France?
Unfortunately as you're on a refugee status you are required to apply with the relevant consulate in person. If you're travelling to France you have to contact the relevant French consulate.

I have indefinite leave to remain in the UK. If I got French visa, can I travel to Denmark first?
If you have a French Schengen visa, you are allowed to travel to Denmark but you need to go to France as well straight after your trip to Denmark and before you come back to the UK. It's obligatory that you spend more time in France than in Denmark (at least one day more).

If I apply for a visa and I do not go. Is it bad?
If you're granted a Schengen visa and you never use it there should be no problem to apply once again when the visa expires. If you need to travel before that to another country or for a period that is beyond the visa validity, you will have to cancel the current visa and apply for a new one.

I received French visa, but I have little doubt about its originality. how can I check it?
If you have applied for the visa with a registered agency there should be no problem. The only way to check if the visa is an original one is with the French Consulate.

I am living and working in Ireland. I need to go back to Sri Lanka for the holidays, flying via CDG airport in France. Do I need to apply for a French transit visa? The Sri Lankan Airlines will not let me on board without French transit visa. Do you know if this is so?
I checked with the French consulate and Sri Lankan passport holders are required to obtain a visa before arriving in the country. There is an Airport Transit visa which is the one that the Sri Lankan Airlines require. However you are required to apply in person with the French consulate. See the basic requirements below and contact the consulate at your earliest convenience:

Documents to be submitted (in both originals and copies):

1. Application form completed and signed on the spot by the applicant in person.

2. Recent passport sized photograph.

3. Passport or travel document valid for at least three months after the date of expiry of the visa applied for. The visa sticker takes up a whole page in your passport or travel document. Please ensure that your passport has at least one blank visa page!

4. Irish re-entry visa (valid at least three months after the date of expiry of the visa applied for). Exceptions may apply.

5. Irish certificate of registration (GNIB card also called Garda / Green card), valid for at least three months after the date of expiry of the visa applied for. Exceptions may apply.

6. Return ticket. Upon application: itinerary / reservation print out flight / ferry / rail / bus), if possible. When collecting your visa : confirmed and non transferable / non refundable return ticket.

7. Visas for onward journey / destination, if applicable.

My husband have a work permit for UK and mine is dependent visa, can I apply for Schengen visa? What documents I need to submit and what are the fees?
As you're on a valid visa in the UK as dependant on your husband's visa there is no problem to apply for a Schengen visa. Please advise what passport you hold and which country you wish to visit. If you provide me with a contact number I will ask a colleague of mine to get back to you!

I have a Nigerian passport and married to an EU citizen. I was given a residency documents for UK. I do not need a visa to go to Italy, so I want to know if the same apply if I want to go to France?
If you hold a Nigerian passport, even though you're married to EU citizen, you are required to have a visa to travel to France. Unfortunately we are not able to assist as Nigerian passport holders are required to apply in person with the French consulate.

I am South African on indefinite leave to remain in UK. I applied for a French Schengen visa with the Embassy in London and got my passport back without a visa stamp.
Can you assist on this?
As we did not submit the application, we are not allowed to investigate the case. The best thing to do is to contact the French consulate to check if there is a problem with your visa application or with some of the documents you provided.

With regarding to my trip to France in January 2010, I plan to apply for visa in November. I just have some queries because me and my friends also plan to go to Europe in December 2009, but that plan is still uncertain. Can I apply for my French Schengen for my trip in January first? If I have visa for my trip in January, then will it affect any other visa that I may apply for my trip in December? Please, kindly advise me. Thank you very much for your assistance.
If you intend to travel to France in January 2010 the earliest you can apply for the French Schengen visa is 3 months in advance. However you will need to provide confirmation for booked tickets, accommodation, travel insurance etc. The visa will start from the date you provided as leaving date from the UK. If you decide to travel somewhere else in advance you won't be able to because you can't travel to France before the visa's start date and you can't apply for another Schengen visa while you will have a valid one.

I have Vietnamese passport and multiple entry visa for UK. I am studying in Luton, UK. I would like to travel to France and Italy. What documents do I need to prepare to apply for a Schengen visa?
As you hold a Vietnamese passport, you are required to apply in person with the Immigration Authorities. If you are travelling to both countries on one trip you should apply for a visa with the embassy where you will be spending more time – i.e. if you are spending 5 days in France and 4 days in Italy you must get a French Schengen visa and vice versa. Please contact the relevant embassy for further assistance.

Does the French Embassy require a hotel booking confirmation send straight from the hotel in France? Can I just print the email confirmation from the hotel?
There is no problem to print off the confirmation email that was sent to you from the hotel. It only needs to state your name and the dates that you will be staying in the hotel and it must clearly states the details of the hotel – i.e. address and contact numbers.

After submitting all the documents needed, how long does it take to get my passport back?
It depends when we’ll organize an appointment with the French consulate for your application to be processed. Once you have an appointment, the visa will be ready on the next day.

If you’re interested in applying with us please get back to me with your name and contact number and a colleague of mine will call you back with more information.

I am an Indian passport holder on a valid visa in the UK as a dependant on my husband’s work visa. Can I apply for Schengen visa using my husband’s bank statements as I do not have a bank account in the UK yet?
You won’t be able to apply using your husband’s bank statement even if you are in the UK as a dependant on his visa. If you are using a bank statement to show proof of funds the bank account MUST be on your name. Alternatively you can use travelers’ cheques.

About French tourist visa. Does the hotel booking needs to show that accommodation has been pre paid in full? My booking is confirmed by giving credit card numbers but there will be no change unless I cancel 1 day prior to my arrival and confirmation also says so. So nothing has been charged yet. They have my card number but these detail does not appear on the confirmation. Is that a problem? How strictly is the French consulate checking about this?
As long as you have confirmation from the hotel stating your name and the period you will be staying in the hotel there should be no problem at all. Please make sure that the confirmation comes directly from the hotel, otherwise it won’t be acceptable.

If the applicant is under a husband’s visa aside from the other requirements is her Labour Card needed?
If you’re currently in the UK as a dependent on your husband’s visa you will need to provide apart of all the required documents the marriage certificate and your spouse’s passport as well.

I am an Indian passport holder with a valid UK student visa and my wife is on a student dependent visa, can we apply for a schengen tourist visa from UK?
If you have a valid student visa for the UK there should be no problems to get a Schengen visa from UK.

I a South African married to a British Citizen. I already have a schengen visa but need to get my 13 year old daughter a visa. What is the process to obtain this?
If your daughter holds a South African passport she will definitely need a visa to travel to France. Still as she’s a minor she must travel with her parents or on a school trip. The process of obtaining a visa is that we must book an appointment with the French consulate to process your daughter’s application. You will need to provide us with the necessary documents at least 3-4 days before the appointment day to check if all the documents are OK.

My parents who are Indian citizen are traveling to UK for holidays. Due to time constraint they could not apply for Schengen in India. I was wondering can they apply it from London? Both of them are not working anymore. I am currently residing in London
Your parents will be able to apply from London but they must contact the relevant embassy in person because they will be on visitor’s permit and no agency will be able to help and get the visa on their behalf. Your parents will have to go and attend an interview to process their visas.

I have a business French visa but I have to take the flight to Rome and then to Paris. Would it be any problem if I enter Rome first, while holding the ticket to Paris?
If you are spending more time in France than in Italy there will be absolutely no problem to enter Rome first and then travel to France. Please be advised that you must visit both countries on one and the same travel before travelling back to the UK.

If my fiance is sponsoring me to france, do i need to bring my statement of account?
For a Schengen visa you must show proof of sufficient funds. For such proof is acceptable either a bank statement on your name or traveler’s cheques.

How much is the insurance and what it covers?
The price for the travel insurance is £40. The travel insurance is annual multi trip insurance with validity for 1 year and coverage for Europe and is acceptable if you’re applying for a Schengen visa. If you have valid travel insurance you should check if you’re covered for trips to Europe and when will the insurance expire. Please bear in mind that if the travel insurance expires soon it won’t be possible to obtain a multiple entry visa.

I hold Indian passport and have indefinite leave to remain in UK. I have Schengan Business visa for France, can I use the same Business visa for leisure travel to France / any schengan countries?
If you have a valid French Schengen visa and you have already visited France, then there should be no problem to visit any Schengen country for leisure within its validity.

I am a Thai passport holder on a valid schengen visa (multiple). The visa will expire in August 2010. I visited first country of the Nathelands for ten days. Then, I come back to Thailand. If I want to go to France, I can use my current visa?
As your visa is still valid and you have already visited the Netherlands, there should be no problem at all to visit any other Schengen country within the visa validity. Make sure that you check how many days in total you are allowed to stay in the Schengen countries for your visa validity.

I am a mauritian national going to france from UK for one day only. What are the documents required to get the Schenghen Visa?
As you hold a Mauritius passport you are allowed to travel to France without a Schengen visa if your stay does not exceed 3 months.

I am overstay in uk can I apply for france visa
To apply for a French Schengen visa you must hold a valid visa for the UK. If you’re overstaying your visa in the UK not only that you won’t be able to get a visa for France but you might have problems with the Immigration Authorities. I’d advise you to get in contact with the UK Home Office to arrange your current status in the UK.

I am French and My husband has a visa to France which expire on 11th december 2009 and would like to get another one to travel in France for Christmas but there is no more appointment and he have a limited leave to remain in the uk which is not stamp in his passport can he apply for a french visa with you and which document does he needs to provide.

Is it possible that schengen visit visa can be changed into study visa? Can the visitor marry during his visit?
The Schengen visa is granted only for short visits. If you need to study in France or if you wish to get married, you must apply for a different type of visa with the French Consulate.

I have an Indian Passport with valid UK visa for one more year. Can I apply for a schengen visa to Poland for January and also add France to it for the month of March? That means, I would like to travel to Poland in January and to France in March.
If you will be travelling to Poland first, then you need to get a Portuguese Schengen visa. If you’re granted a multiple entry Schengen visa which will cover your stay in France there will be no problem to travel with the same visa. If your visa expires before your travel to France or while you’ll be there, you should apply for a French Schengen visa in advance.

I am on a tourist visa in UK, I hold a mauritius passport. Can I travel to france for three days or do I need a visa?
Mauritius passport holders are no longer required to have a visa for France if their stay does not exceed 3 months.

I am a student in the UK. Please how much money do i need to have in my bank account to be guaranteed a schenge visa.
The required minimum of funds per day spent in France is £55. This must be proved either by a bank statement or by traveler’s cheques. Please be advised that if you have available funds for 5 days the visa will be granted only for 5 days. The more money you have, the better possibility to get a multiple entry visa you’ll have.

I am 18 years old and unemployed. I wanted to know if my uncle can sponsor my trip to France for 5 nights, and his income tax papers/bank statements could be used as proof of financial support? Also, do I need to attach any kind of an affidavit with my application form stating that the expenses during the trip will be borne by my uncle? I will be very glad to you if you can also elaborate on the kind of balance that needs to be maintained in the bank account?
If you’re on a Work visa in the UK you won’t be able to get a French Schengen visa as a letter from your employer will be required to prove your status. If you’re on a Student visa – a letter from the college or university will be necessary. With regards to the proof of funds you must have at least £55 per day spent in France and the money needs to be either in a bank account on your name that you will have to provide a bank statement from or to have the funds available in traveler’s cheques. Please be advised that if you have available funds for 5 days there will be no way to get the visa granted for a longer period.

I am travelling to France on a 12mth working holiday visa. Can I travel outside of France still in the schengen area as a tourist on this same visa?
The French visa is valid only for France. Still if you have a New Zealand passport you won’t be required to have a visa if your intended stay does not exceed 3 months. You will be able to travel only with your passport, however you may be asked, either at the borders of entry or within the Schengen space, to produce proofs of financial means of support, hotel bookings or return tickets to your country of residence.

If am going for my higher studies, What bank balance should i have to get a Schengen Visa? And how long should i maintain that bank balance? Can i withdraw that amount after getting my Visa?
The required minimum of sufficient funds is £55 per day spent in France. There is no requirement for how long the money should have been in your account. I don’t think that it’s a good idea to withdraw the funds once the visa is issued because you might be required to show proof of sufficient funds upon arrival in the country

I am from Iraq and I live in America and I have Green Card with me what I have to do to get the visa and vist Europe?
You need to get a visa from the embassy which country you will be visiting or from the country where you will be staying longer. Please check carefully your travel arrangements and contact the relevant embassy as you must apply in person for such type of visa.

Hello, I am a uk citizen and my Husband is Indian and has been granted a UK spouse visa for 2 years. We are coming to the UK in March. My sister lives in Germany and we would like to visit her there, i would also like my husband to be able to visit my family
If you’ll be travelling to Germany your husband must apply for a German Schengen visa. At the moment we are organizing French and Portuguese visas. In your case I’d recommend the French Schengen visa as it is a multiple entry visa BUT you will have to go to France either before your trip to Germany or you will have to visit France and Germany on one and the same travel before coming back to the UK.

If you will be able to travel to France as well, we’ll organize the visa for your husband without any problems. If you’ll be going only to Germany, then you must contact the German embassy to obtain the relevant visa.

I live with my british partener for 13 years, my son is british as well and i have ilr in my morrocan passport and i need to go to france what to do pls?
You will need to apply for a French Schengen visa even though you have Indefinite Leave to Remain for the UK. As you hold a Moroccan passport you are required to apply in person with the French Consulate.

I am from India taken up my post graduate course in UK, would like to travel to Paris this coming February 2010. Havant yet decided the hotel/ place I would be staying; can I apply for schengen visa? through online? Without mentioning the place where I would be staying. What is the procedure? After I apply online? then when I am suppose to submit the other documents asked? Should I meet anyone in person? Is yes, where is the place I am supposed to visit? Thanks in advance
In order to obtain a Schengen visa to France you will need to provide hotel booking confirmation. We can book an appointment with the French consulate to process your application but you will still need to provide us with the required documents at least 4 days before that so that we could check them and make sure that everything is OK. You won’t need to go to the consulate in person or meet any one – you can simply post us the documents to the London office.

I am malaysian. I enter france 28th september 2009 i go out of the schengen space (Ireland) for 3 days rentered in france 01 december 2009.Do i have to caclulate my 90 days period starting from 28th of december (without the 3 days ireland) or i have a new 90 days period starting from 1st of december? i want to go back to malaysia end of january and ask if it's legal like that.
The Schengen visas are granted with certain period that you are allowed to stay in the Schengen space. The period that you spend outside of the Schengen space is deducted from the allowed time. Please check your visa terms and conditions to be sure how long you’re allowed to stay.

Im an INDIAN national and my wife is POLISH national. We are going on 3weeks holidays for thailand. After that we want to visit paris and venice for 2 weeks each...Just want to know do I need to apply for spouce visa or tourist visa? can i apply either visa while from Thailand or i need first come back to india?
If you’re an Indian resident you must obtain a Schengen visa from the country of your residency unless you have “EEA endorsement” placed in your passport. As your wife is Polish you must apply with the Polish embassy in India if necessary.

I'm a malaysian passport holder studying in the uk.do i need a schengen visa to go travelling around the schengen territory for 30 days?
We are organizing Schengen visas only for France and Portugal. Malaysian passport holders are not required to have a visa for these countries, if their intended stay does not exceed 3 months. I presume that this will be the same for the rest of the Schengen countries but you should better check with your travel agency or with the relevant embassies.

I am traveling to Budpest via Paris. I have a schengen visa in that case do I need to have a Paris Transit Visa with me also to use this itneray.
If you have a valid Hungarian Schengen visa there will be no problem to travel through Paris as long as your main destination is Hungary.

My husband and I are Russian passport holders resident in the UK applying for a French visa. We’ll be travelling and applying for visas together. We have a joint current account stating both of our names with funds sufficient for both of us for the duration of the trip. Can one of us submit the original bank statement and the other one – the copy? If not, what would you recommend?
If you will be applying together with your husband for the French Schengen visa there will be no problem to provide only one bank statement with both your names on it as long as you have sufficient funds for both of you. You will also need to provide your marriage certificate which must be either in English or translated and certified by the relevant embassy.

I got the schengen visa from italian embassy. single entry 30 days duration of stay and 45 days validity. Can I travel first to Paris, France? I will stay there for 5 days then travel to Italy by airplane as Italy is my main destination? I will stay in Italy for 22 days.
There is absolutely no problem to travel to France first as you’ll be going to Italy straight after that and you’ll be spending more time there.

I have a south african passport, have indefinate leave to remain in the UK, Married to a UK citizen and have a schengen visa issued by the french embassy in london for a year. I would like to travel to Italy for 3days Am I able to do this with this visa?
Basically the French Schengen visa is a multiple entry one and it will allow you to visit all the Schengen countries. However as you got a French Schengen visa, you should visit France first when you go to the Schengen space or if you’re visiting several countries on one and the same trip – you should stay longer in France then in any other Schengen country. If you have already travelled to France and came back to the UK, then you can visit any other Schengen country on your next visit without having to go to France at all.

I'm married to british and I have indifinate leave to remain visa in UK and we have to kids im filipino do i need to have a visa to go to Europe?
Basically if you intend to visit European country you should obtain a visa in advance. However if you have “family member of EU or EEA” endorsement this may not be necessary if you’re travelling with your spouse but you need to check with the relevant embassy as each country has its own requirements.

I'm a non-EU postgrad student in Ireland and I am planning to attend a conference in Italy. I understand that I need to secure a schengen visa for this purpose. I also plan to travel to Paris, France after the conference. Do I need to submit a proof of accomodation in France as well (aside from my proof of accommodation in Italy) for my Italian schengen visa application even if its not my main country of destination? Should the number of days of my hotel accommodation in either Italy or France reflect the duration of my stay in each? Thanks!
If you’re visiting both countries on one and the same trip you should obtain a visa from the embassy of the country where you will stay longer. If you go to both countries consecutively you need to provide confirmation for accommodation for both.

I am an Indian passport holder and in UK on business visa. I wish to visit Paris. Can I apply for a Schengen visa from UK?
Yes, you can apply for French Schengen visa from the UK but you need to contact the French Consulate directly. As you’re on a short-term visa you won’t be able to use the services of an agency.

I am a british citizen however my wife is Paksitani national with indefinite leave to remain in uk. We have four children all born in uk. Does she need a visa to enter France or any other eu country?
Your wife will need to obtain a visa before travelling to any Schengen country and most probably to countries from the EU. Unfortunately as an agency we won’t be able to process your wife’s application for Schengen visa as Pakistani passport holders are required to apply in person with the relevant Consulate.

I hold a Malaysian Passport, I have bought an inbound ticket to France in July and an inbound ticket to Glasgow from Paris, Scotland in Oct, I don't know when would I be returning to Malaysia just yet, if it is fine that both France and UK customs would let me enter the country without outbound ticket?
Basically if you weren’t required to have an outbound ticket when applying for your French visa you should have no problems at the customs. With regards to your entry back to the UK if you have a valid visa allowing you to travel back to the country you should be permitted to enter.

I am a Sri lankan passport holder with valid UK working holiday visa can i apply for a schengen tourist visa from UK?
If you have a valid visa for the UK there should be no problem to obtain your Schengen visa. If you’re travelling to France we would be able to organize your visa. Please get back to me with a contact number and we’ll call you to explain you the requirements and the process.

I'll like to france for 5 days and UK 3 days which VISA do i need first?
You need to obtain 2 visas – one for France and one for the UK because the UK is not a Schengen country and you need separate visas.

If I have a schengen visa issued from the country of my first desination, is it possible to change the main destination ? Will same visa be applicable to my trip?
If your previous Schengen was issued as a multiple entry one and is still valid, there is no need to travel again to the country which was your main destination the previous time. You can travel to any other Schengen country in the Schengen area and within the visa validity.

My visa expired on July 14th, can i still travel with it as soon as i come back before the 14th or i need to have a new one.
If your visa was granted as a “Multiple entry” one and you still have days left to visit the Schengen space it shouldn’t be a problem to travel on your current visa as long as it’s within the visa validity.

I am Pakistani holding uk visa. can i travell to France?
The fact that you have a visa for the UK doesn’t allow you to travel to France without a visa. If you wish to go there you need to obtain a French Schengen visa. Unfortunately we won’t be able to help as Pakistani passport holders need to apply in person with the French Consulate.

Hi. I am about to complete my course in UK but I am still on a student visa, valid until November 2010. I am planning to visit Europe in August 2010. I wanted to know, if I need to submit any letter from the university while applying for the Schengen visa. Also as I am currently not working I will not be able to produce any letter from the employer, would that be any problem? thanks in advance
If you’re on a student visa a letter from the university will be absolutely sufficient. Please be advised that it’s not a problem to apply for a Schengen visa as long as have at least 3 months left on your UK visa validity from the date you’re back from the Schengen country.

My in-laws are visiting the UK and are pakistani passport holders, they would like to visit disneyland, france for 3 days. Can they apply for a french visa from the UK even though their UK visit visas were issued in pakistan - their country of origin?
It’s not a problem for your in-laws to obtain a visa to France from the UK. The only thing is that they will be required to apply in person with the French Consulate. That’s why I’d advise you not to book any flights in advance because the French Consulate works with an appointment system and you will need to check first what the availability will be.

Hi, I am British passport holder and wanted to travel Paris for a holiday with my mother who is Indian resident?
Please be advised that in order for us to help you as an agency, your mother should have a long term visa for the UK. If she’s on a visitor’s permit she must apply directly with the French Consulate.

I am a Filipino citizen, holding a student visa here in UK. Do I still need to have a visa to Portugal, Rome, Italy or Spain?
The Student visa that you have for the UK is valid only for the UK. If you need to travel to Portugal, Italy, Spain or any other country you will need to obtain the relevant visa.

I have a Philippine Passport, holding a UK Business Visa., valid for 6months. What are the requirements for French Visa if we apply for Schengen Visa in London? How soon can we get it?
As you are a Pilipino passport holder you are required to apply in person with the French Consulate. Please contact them the embassy to check the first available appointment and what documents you will be required to submit with your application.

I am Indian living in Bahrain. I have a schengen visa from the Swiss embassy in Kuwait. I intend to visit France first and stay there for 4 days and then go to Austria/Netherlands for 3 days and then proceed to Switzerland for 6 days. Can I do this?
As long as you will be visiting all the Schengen countries on one and the same trip and you spend more time in Switzerland, there should be no problem to travel with your current Swiss visa. Please check what the visa terms and conditions are with regards to the allowed stay in the Schengen space to make sure that it will cover all your holiday!

My company (a French company) is sponsoring me for my visa for France. Can I apply for one?
If you will be travelling for business purposes, your company in France should send you an invitation. If you’re interested in us organizing a Schengen visa for you, please call us on the numbers on our site.

I am on student visa in UK, and basically am from Pakistan, so can you please tell me the required documentation fee and stuff to Italy? Thanks
Unfortunately I’m not able to advise you on the documents required because Pakistani passport holders are required to apply in person with the Italian embassy. Please contact them for further information!

We are a South African family who would like to travel to Europe and the UK for a year. Can we apply for our Schengen visas in the UK? We will be staying in the UK for 4 months and then proceed to Europe.
There should be no problem to obtain your visas from the UK. You will only need to contact the relevant consulate of the country where you will be travelling to organize your visa. You need to obtain the Schengen visa from the embassy of the country where you will spend the longest period of time.

I am permanently residing here in UK and would like to invite my parents who are Filipino nationals for a visit. While they're here, we're planning to have side trips to some parts of Europe including Paris. Our maximum stay will be 5 days each. Can they already apply same time they're applying for UK visa? Can they only show the return ticket for UK? We have no exact date yet when we'll visit Paris, but it says in the application form that you have to state where you'll be staying and the dates of your travel. Can they put details of accommodation here in UK and their expected dates of travel to UK instead? Also, how long does the application process takes?
When your parents apply for a Schengen visa they will need to provide information for the exact dates of travel accompanied with tickets confirmation, confirmation for accommodation booking, travel insurance etc. It’s not possible to provide the dates of their stay in the UK because the Immigrations will refuse the visa. They can apply from inside the UK once they arrive but Filipino passport holders are required to apply in person with the relevant consulate. You should decide in which country you will spend the longest period of time and should contact the relevant embassy to book an appointment and check what documents will be required.

I am Malaysian and I am on a UK student visa. I want to have a vacation and attending any conferences in Portugal and EU country. Do I need a visa?
As you hold a Malaysian passport you won’t be required to have a visa for Portugal if your stay does not exceed 3 months. I think that it will be the same for the other EU countries but it will be the best to double check this before travelling. I can confirm that you won’t need a visa for France if you won’t stay for more than 3 months.

I am South African and I have a UK visa. Do I need a visa for France?
The answer is `Yes`. The UK visa is valid only for the UK. If you need to travel to France you will need to have a French Schengen visa.

I have just got my Schengen Visa from French consulate. My trip to Paris was for 3 days. But now I plan to shorten it to 1 day and 3 days in Switzerland. Will that be fine?
No, this definitely won’t be fine, because when you have a French Schengen visa on your first travel to the Schengen countries France must be your main destination and you must spend more time there than in any other Schengen country. Even if you don’t have problems when you’re travelling this time, you might have troubles when you apply for another Schengen visa because what you intend to do is breaching the visa terms and conditions. If you need to spend longer period in Switzerland there are 2 ways for this to happen without breaching the visa rules:
  1. travel to France and then come back to the UK and after that travel to Switzerland – please be advised that in order to do this your French Schengen visa must have been granted as a multiple entry visa
  2. cancel your French Schengen visa and apply for a Swiss one with the Swiss Consulate

I am from Iraq and I had a Schengen visa from the French Consulate in Bagdad and is of multi entry type and valid from 1-6-2010 to 30-9-2010 I use it to travel to France and I returned to Iraq at 18-6-2010. Can I use the same visa to travel again to France or I have to obtain another visa thanks
Basically it’s not a problem to use the same visa because it was granted as a multiple entry one and is still valid. However you need to check the allowed period of stay in the Schengen space because there is a limited time that you can spend there. You need to check the “Duration of stay” stamped on your visa and make sure that you have enough days left for your next travel. If you don’t – you will have to cancel the current visa and apply for a new one.

I have an Indian Passport and came here in Uk on 18th June. I have a valid UK Academic visitor visa until 12th November and intend to visit Paris with my family (husband, son). Both of them will join me here in UK during August end. They too have valid UK visitor visa until Nov. 27th. We all wish to visit Paris during first week of September. Can I apply now for all of us from here? What documents I need to show?
Basically it won’t be a problem to apply for a French Schengen visa for you and your family once they come in the UK. Unfortunately as an agency we won’t be able to help because of the fact that you are on visitor visa - you are required to apply in person with the French Consulate. I’d advise you to contact the embassy as soon as possible as there aren’t a lot of appointments available. You won’t be able to apply on you family’s behalf but you can book an appointment for the date they will arrive in the UK. Once you contact the embassy they will advise you on the documents you will be required to provide as a part of your applications.

I am an Iranian MBA student in Malaysia ,I want to apply for tourist visa for France. How long should I have student visa here in Malaysia to apply for France visa?
I don’t think that you need to have been a certain period of time on your Student visa before you’re entitled to apply for a French Schengen visa. Simply contact the French Consulate and check what documents will be necessary to process your visa application!

Hi, I have 6 months valid UK visa, can I get one day transit visa for Paris on arrival in Paris or from UK. As our travel date is very near and to get a Schengen visa can take some weeks and our tickets to UK is already booked so we cant take risk of submitting our passports in the Embassy.
You are not able to get a French Schengen visa upon arrival – you must have it before travelling. Please advise what passport and what visa you hold for the UK and when you intend to travel to France. I’ll check if we can get an appointment for you and process the visa on time. Please provide me with a contact number as well so that my colleagues could get back to you!

I want to apply for Schengen visa via French embassy and I will stay France for 4 days then I want to go Belgium. so should i have to book the accommodation in both country or only in France?
If you are travelling to both countries on the same trip you need to provide confirmation for your flights and accommodation for both countries.

I have a Schengen Visa from Denmark. It is single entry. Can I also use this to visit Italy, France, and other Schengen countries?
It all depends on how you’ve applied for the visa. If you have stated that you will be travelling to all those countries on one and the same trip and you’ve provided the requested supporting documents it shouldn’t be a problem. Please bear in mind that because of the visa is a single entry one it will be valid only for this trip. Once you’re back in your country of residence you won’t be able to use the visa for your next trip to the Schengen area. You will need to get a new visa for this purpose.

I have already received my Schengen visa just for 20 days, but my visa does not cover all the period of my whole trip. How can I cancel my visa and ask for another one that covers all my period of journey?
In such case most probably there was something wrong with the documents you’ve provided. Please check this with the embassy that issued the visa why this happened and if you will need to change some of the documents so that you could get the visa for the whole journey. Most likely you’ll have to cancel your current visa and apply for a new one.

Hi there. I am a South African visiting France at the moment on a 90 day tourist Visa. I have been offered a job on a boat though since being here and wanted to know if I can change my tourist Visa to a working Visa before it expires. I would also like to know if I can extend my Visa?
I’m not sure if you will be allowed to apply for a work visa from inside France. You will have to check this with the Immigration Authorities there. As far as I’m aware your employer must contact the Ministry of Labor to obtain a permission to hire a foreign employee.

I am a Chinese passport holder travelling to London with a UK visa. I also hope to visit France. Can I get a Schengen visa in London or do I need to arrange it from Beijing?
There is no problem to organize your French Schengen visa from London. Please be advised though that the French Consulate is quite busy so I’d advise you not to book your holiday or your tickets before you have confirmed appointment for the visa to be processed.

If you won’t be coming in the UK as a visitor but on a work or student visa we will be able to help with the visa organizing. If you’re coming on a tourist visa then you will have to contact the French Consulate to obtain the visa by yourself because in such case you are required to apply in person and no agency can get the visa on your behalf.

I am Mauritian nationality. What kind of visa do I need to travel to Poland to attend a marriage ceremony? I would like to visit UK as well do I need a separate visa for the UK from Poland?
If you hold a passport from Mauritius you will not need a visa to visit Poland, if your stay does not exceed 90 days. If you want to travel to the UK you will have to obtain a visa in advance with the nearest British High Commission.

I am an Indian passport holder and in UK on business visa. I wish to visit Paris. Can I apply for a Schengen visa from UK?
There is no problem to apply for the French Schengen visa from the UK. Unfortunately as an agency we won’t be able to help because you’re required to apply in person with the French Consulate being on a short-stay visa.

I am Iraqi I had USA visa can I get France visa also??
The fact that you had a US visa is not relevant for an application for French visa. Unfortunately we won’t be able to help with your visa to France because Iraqi passport holders are required to apply in person with the French Consulate.

My wife and I hold Sri Lankan passports. We have visit visa to UK up to 2013.We hope to go UK this month for a holiday. We want to go to Disneyland and can we get visa from London French embassy?
There is no problem to obtain your French Schengen visa from the French Consulate in the UK. Please be advised that if you’re currently on a visitor’s visa you will be required to apply in person with the French Consulate. In such case I’d suggest contacting them before booking anything because they have limited number of appointments. If you hold a work visa however, we as an agency will be able to help and process your application much faster!

I have two kids ages less than three years and they registered in my passport did the fees only for me or for three?
There is a visa fee for each applicant, however the fee is less for children under 7 years of age.

I overstayed my Schengen tourist visa and returned home to Australia but now I wish to apply for a French working holiday visa - I will not be going back until after the 180 days required out of the zone but didn’t want to waste an application if I was only going to be turned down.
Unfortunately no one can tell you whether the visa will be granted or not. I’d advise you to check this with the Immigration Authorities when you submit your application for the working holiday visa.

I am on a student visa in the USA and I just got my single entry visa to go to Poland. I am initially staying in Poland for 2days and also planning to visit Italy for 2-3 days and go back to Poland for a few days before heading back to the USA, is this going to be ok for a single entry visa holder? Thanks!
The Single visa that you have for Poland is valid for a Single trip! If you intend to travel to Poland, then to Italy and then back to Poland this visa won’t be of use. You need to re-arrange your plans or get a Multiple entry visa to Poland.

I would like to go to France for few days and my husband is on HSMP visa and I am on a dependent visa (limited leave to remain in the UK). Do I need my husband’s documents to apply for Schengen visa. i have been working in UK since 2008.
If you’re working you won’t need your husband’s documents. You will need to provide us with the completed application form, your passport, confirmation for your travels and accommodation, travel insurance and bank statements and letter from your employer with pay slips. Still we need to know what passport you hold as some passport holders are required to apply in person with the embassy. Please provide me with a contact number and a colleague of mine will get back to you and explain you the processing.

I am a South African passport holder with a Schengen visa, soon to expire whilst travelling in Sweden. Can I renew or apply for a new Schengen visa whilst in Sweden?
You may not be allowed to enter Sweden if your visa won’t be valid for your stay. You should better secure a valid visa before travelling.

I have UK travel document (convention of 28 July 1951) do I need visa for France or not?
Yes, you will definitely need a visa to travel to France. You are also required to apply in person with the French Consulate.

I am an Indian student in France. My student visa expires on Sept 11. I am planning to go for vacation to India and come back on Sept 3. I have applied for a residence permit (carte de sejour), but it is under processing and I don't have the "recipisse" as yet. Can I enter France again with the existing visa?
Basically you should be allowed to enter back France as your visa will still be valid. However I’d advise you to check this with the Immigrations before leaving the country.

How long does it take if I apply for a French Schengen visa in person in the embassy? Will I get the visa on the same day?
In order to apply with the French Consulate you need to have an appointment in advance. As far as I’m aware they are very busy and don’t have that much appointments. I’m not sure if you’re getting the visa the same day – you should check this with the Consulate.

I am a Filipino citizen and on a tourist visa here in England. I want to go to Schengen countries. Can I apply for a Schengen visa here in U.k?
Yes, it’s possible to apply from inside the UK but you’ll have to do it directly with the embassy because Filipino citizens are required to apply in person.

I'm a South African who got my indefinite leave to remain in the UK, my British fiancé and I would like to visit friends in France for a couple of days. Would I be allowed in the country?
In order to travel to France you must obtain a Schengen visa in advance. The fact that you have Indefinite leave to remain for the UK does not mean that you have a British passport and in such case a visa is required. If you provide us with a contact number we’ll call you and advise you of the visa processing.

Hi I would like to know if I could book the hotel via the accorhotels.com to apply for a visa (since the new policy about hotel booking)
Yes, there shouldn’t be a problem to book a hotel trough this website. Please make sure that the hotel’s telephone number does not start with +33 8 because the Immigrations don’t accept those hotels as accommodation.

I am working for GE, UK and I am under post study work VISA which is valid till 16th of feb 2011 and GE wants me to go to France for a three day training program. Can you please tell me what VISA do I need to travel to France? and can my company sponsor me this VISA or do I personally need to apply for a business Schengen VISA to travel to France?
You can apply for a Business Schengen visa but in order to do so you must provide a letter from your employer in the UK and a formal invitation letter from the company in France. Your employer won’t be able to get the visa for you. You need to apply for it. If you have an eligible passport we might be able to get the visa on your behalf.

I am a South African with a UK visa (Tier 2 - Intercompany transfer). Can I apply for a French Schengen in the UK?
If your visa is valid for at least 3 months after the date you’re back in the UK from your travel to France and if the visa allows you to work it’s also possible for an agency like ours to apply on your behalf.

I'm a Sri Lankan Student doing the PhD(Chemistry) in University of Birmingham, Uk. I have a student visa to study in UK until 2013 January. For my research work I need to go to France with my research supervisor for a week. Do I have to apply for visa for this purpose?
In order to travel to France you must obtain a Schengen visa in advance. If you aren’t going on business meetings then you can get a tourist visa. Otherwise you will have to get a business visa and to do this you will need an invitation letter from a company in France.

I am Indian, I need to visit France to meet a friend, who has sent me a letter to stay at his place and will look after my stay. What else do I need , dont maintain a bank account.

I am a Filipino, I already applied for a Schengen visa and actually to get it on the 20th of August. But I will not be available to collect it. Is it possible for my husband to collect it? What are the requirements needed? I'm presently in Ireland. Thank you very much for the time.
I’m not sure whether it will be possible for your husband to collect it. Please call the French Consulate to confirm this and to check if they will need some documents confirming that he’s authorized to collect the visa on your behalf.

I am a Chinese passport holder in UK. After finishing my study program and getting the degree, I am now under the Post-Study working (PSW Tier1) visa. But I am now still looking for a job, so can't provide a letter of employment. In my case, can I still apply for a tourist visa to France?
Unfortunately we won’t be able to get the visa for you because if you’re applying with an agency you need to provide documents confirming your status and if you’re on a work visa this means that you need to have a letter from your employer and payslips. I think that you will be able to apply for a tourist visa to France but you will have to go directly with the French Consulate. Please contact them for further assistance!

How much cash should a Thai citizen have while arriving into Schengen countries -- she will be visiting Prague (3 days), Paris (3 days) and Venice (3days)? This is tourist visit.
I can advise you only for France as we’re organizing Schengen visa for there from the countries you’ve stated that will be visiting. The required minimum of funds for France is at least GBP 55 per day. I’d advise you to check with the rest of the countries’ embassies or with the embassy that will be processing your Schengen visa. Please be advised that as you will be spending equal period of time in all the countries you will need to obtain a Schengen visa from the embassy of the country which you will be visiting first. If this is France we will be able to help, if not you should contact the relevant embassy by yourself.

I would like to visit Europe, but at the beginning I will visit France. For how long will the embassy issue the Schengen visa? I would prefer to get the visa for at least six months so that I can visit Europe later on according to my holidays.
If this is the first time that you’ll be applying for a Schengen visa it will be granted either for 3 months or for the duration of your trip. This depends on the immigration officer that will be processing your application. In order to get a visa for longer period it will be good to have travel insurance valid for at least 3 /6 months and to have as much funds as possible stated in your bank statement. Please be advised that we can’t guarantee the period that the visa will be granted for because it’s up to the Immigrations’ discretion.

I am an Indian student and yet to apply for a French Schengen visa. I have secured admission and still waiting for the original visa invitation letter from the college. I just wanted to know how long it will take to get my visa done after an interview?
Once you have the student visa granted it will be OK to apply for a French Schengen visa. You will need to obtain a letter from the college confirming your status. Normally it takes 2 working days from the moment we submit your application with the French Consulate. Please be advised that there are limited appointments so early application is advisable. There are emergency appointments as well but at a higher price.

I have the Iranian Passport with UK marriage visa, my wife is British. We plan to travel around Europe for 8-10 days with our own car. Can I apply for tourist visa to France? And what document do I need to provide for the visa?
Please be advised that you need to obtain a Schengen visa from the embassy of the country where you will spend the longest period of time. If this will be France you will have to get a French Schengen visa before travelling. Please be advised that Iranian passport holders are required to apply in person so you will have to contact the relevant embassy and check what the procedure will be and what documents you will be required to provide.

I am an Algerian passport holder with a Schengen visa from France (Multiple entries ) , I would like to travel from France to Dubai ( I have the visa tourist ) for 3 weeks then to go back to France . I would like to know if it’s possible? Thanks
If your visa is still valid and you have allowed period of stay in the Schengen area there should be no problem to travel back to France after your holiday in Dubai.

My husband is British, I am holding Spouse visa but with a Chinese Passport. We want to to Paris for a holiday. Do I need a visa? How to apply? Thanks a lot!
You will definitely need a visa to travel to France even though you’re married to a British. We will be able to organize it for you. Please email us at info@visafirst.com or call us on 0207 659 9180 to speak to a representative.

I applied for a German Schengen visa 4 years ago to be with my dad in a brain surgery, but unfortunately I got the visa the day that my dad came back home from Germany, and I didn't travel, would that affect me if I applied to a Schengen now?
Please be advised that we are able to organize only French and Portuguese Schengen visa. There shouldn’t be a problem to apply for a Schengen visa now that you no longer have a valid such. If you are interested in us organizing French or Portuguese Schengen visa please contact us to check your eligibility.

I am a Bruneian PR and would like to visit Europe via UK. Do I need to get a Schengen visa if I already have a UK visa? If yes, where can I apply the Schengen visa and how long will it take?
If you have a passport from Brunei Darussalam you won’t need a visa to travel to France if your stay does not exceed 90 days. Please be advised that when you have a visa for the UK it is valid only for this country and if you wish to travel to other countries you need to check their visa requirements first.

I have Indian Passport with 20 years Validity. I also have on same passport a 10 year US Visa. I am told by my travel agent that I need to get my passport reissued as 10 years and then only can apply for Schengen Visa. Is this correct?
In order to apply for a Schengen visa the passport needs to be issued in the last 10 years even if it’s valid for 20 years. If the passport was issued more than 10 years ago you will have to get a new one to be able to apply for a Schengen visa. With regards to the US visa I don’t think that there will be a problem to be transferred to the new passport but you will need to check this with the US Embassy.

I got Schengen Visa issued by French Embassy Bahrain, for Tourism. I have changed by plan suppose to fly Bahrain to Portugal as per ticket attached to the visa application. Now I want to fly from Bombay to Portugal by different airlines is it ok or any restriction that I have to fly visa issuing country.
On your first travel to the Schengen area your main destination must be the country which issued the visa – in your case France. As main destination is considered the country where you will be spending most of the time during your travel or if you’re visiting several countries and spending equal period of time you should enter first through the country which embassy issued the visa. If you travel to Portugal instead to France you might have problems when you need another visa to France as you will have breached the main terms and conditions of the visa.

There are two options to avoid this – either to cancel your current French visa and obtain a Portuguese one if you will be travelling only to Portugal or if you will be spending most of your time there or you travel to Portugal and then go straight to France and spend there at least 1 day more than the time you will have spent in Portugal.

I got the SWISS visa from Switzerland embassy. single entry 30 days duration of stay and 30 days validity. Can I travel first to Paris, France? I will stay there for 15 days then travel to Switzerland or back to India
Basically when you have a visa issued for Switzerland your main destination should be this country. If you want to travel to Paris, France with this visa and you intend to enter through Paris, you need to visit both countries on one and the same trip and spend at east 1 day more in Switzerland. Otherwise you will breach the visa rules and will have problems if you want to obtain another Schengen visa.
